NPCs were a fairly odd concept to Jacqueline. Sentient beings, but not real at all. Super smart AI, maybe, but the fact that they had a tangible body, human and all, complicated things. Maybe she'd find out more today about what they were.
The roaring of the waterfalls filled the lancer's eardrums, blocking out other sounds. The researcher - the NPC - should be here soon, and so should the others she'd invited along. It was curious, this place - so real and so otherworldly at the same time, completely fake but...not.
